Discover a new appreciation for salads during a cooking demonstration Salads are never boring with chef and writer Stephanie Eyocko. The course will teach you how to create a balance of flavors in a salad. You will learn how to prepare Swiss chard and the best ways to wash, dry and store green vegetables. The event is at Common Good City Farm (300 V street, northwest) on Thursday June 30 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.; tickets can be purchased here.

Celebrity Virginia chef Jonathan Krinn prepares a four-course dinner at wineLAIR (1120 22nd St., NW). The members-only wine club opens to the public on Thursday June 30 at 6:30 p.m. for the meal, which includes lime-marinated Arctic char, Maine lobster soup, spiced roasted cauliflower, and peach/brioche pudding. Taste up to six different types of wine at Showcase of Venetian wines from Natty Wine at primrose (3000 12th St., NE). On Thursday June 30 at 5 p.m., the French restaurant Brookland will present white, red and rosé wines from Veneto alongside Venetian tapas prepared by the chef of Primrose. No tickets are required for the event.
