M&S shoppers go wild over ‘incredible’ new summer product

Marks and Spencer has announced a brand new flavored gin from its own brand for the summer and shoppers can’t seem to get enough.

The strawberry-flavored liqueur is being touted as the perfect companion to a summer-themed cocktail, with the supermarket giant even suggesting customers use it as a treat ingredient. According to M&S, the gin combines “a fresh, fruity natural strawberry flavor with subtle juniper, it’s amazing served with our new Strawberry Rhubarb Tonic.”

The gin comes in a fancy glass bottle decorated with strawberry and garden party designs and is made by the Warner Distillery in Northamptonshire. Some of the cocktails the company recommends making with gin include a fruity gin and tonic topped with mint leaves and a gin sour that includes lime juice.

Desserts can also be made with the liquor, with M&S recommending it as a garnish on an Eton mess by soaking chopped strawberries in the liqueur for a few hours. It can also be used by the most serious artisan bakers by using it in a cheesecake mix to create a gin and passion fruit cheesecake.

Fans on social media seem very excited about the latest addition to the M&S alcoholic range, with one user writing: “It’s amazing – I’m on my third bottle and we’re only at the start of the year. ‘summer !!!”
