Pineberries, the pineapple flavored strawberry, are now available online

Strawberries are tasty and pineapples are delicious. You probably never thought of a strawberry that tastes like a pineapple, right? Well, either way, the folks at Wish Farms have you covered: the answer to your dreams (or reality) is pineapples, and they’re probably on sale near you.

Strawberries are a strawberry cultivar; in other words, a cross between a strawberry that grows in Virginia and a Chilean berry. It is immediately recognizable by its color: It looks like a photonegative strawberry, with white flesh and red seedsand it mostly tastes like strawberries with hints of pineapple.

In the Bay Area and the rest of California, pineberries are available at Costco and Trader Joe’s. Like everything else at Costco, you’ll need to sign up for membership before you can buy pine berries there, but those weird strawberry/pineapple berries might be reason enough to consider it.



Pineberries also available at other stores across the country like Aldi, Food Lion, Fresh Thyme, Giant, Kroger, Longos, Meijier, Sprouts Farmers Market, The Fresh Market, Walmart and Winn-Dixie.

To find pine berries near you, head to Instacart, enter your address, and search “pine berries” to find retailers that sell them in your area. You can even have them delivered to your doorstep in less than an hour in some cases.
