Ribbon cutting at the renowned Greenfield restaurant

Simply Fresh Creations, located at 414 Jefferson St. in Greenfield, was officially welcomed to the neighborhood Monday with a ribbon cutting with the Village of Greenfield and the Highland County Chamber of Commerce.

Originally opened in November last year as Highland Nutrition, owner Chelsea Holland said it recently changed its name for a number of reasons. One of them is that the products she was using were getting too expensive, which was taking a toll on the operation of the store.

Plus, Holland said, the rebranding was about giving customers what they’ve been asking for. It’s something she’s been asking her regular customers for a few months, something they’d like to see if she makes any changes. From there, Holland took customer ideas and crafted a menu to include take-out options and more.

Take-out options are chicken, ham, or turkey wraps, which can also be made to order. There are also different types of salads, which are chicken, ham or turkey, and there is also a strawberry spinach salad.

Seven smoothies are available to choose from, along with seven smoothie bowls. Other offerings include different flavors of bagels and oatmeal. There’s also a drink menu that includes the low-calorie, sugar-free Loaded Refreshers, which are boosted with vitamin C and caffeine, and frozen lemonades, which are also sugar-free.

The fall menu is out right now and has lots of different options, Holland said, and new menu items will be added very soon.

Although Holland is not originally from Greenfield, she lives in Greenfield. She does what she does here because she enjoys being part of the community and the support she has received here. Holland said she loves having one-on-one conversations with customers and building those relationships, and loves being able to impact the community through her shop.

Simply Fresh Creations is open Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The shop is closed on Sundays.

Holland said the best way for people to see current menu items and new promotions is through social media platforms, like the store’s Facebook and Instagram pages. She said she is now considering a website with the ability to order online. Stay tuned.
