Two accused in connection with fatal shooting in AC

Authorities say the two men who were indicted in the death of Jahmil Greenidge, 28, in Atlantic City earlier this year were indicted by a grand jury.

Atlantic County Acting Attorney Cary Shill said Denzel Garrison, 28, of Newark, and Laquine Demby, 30, of Pleasantville, were both charged Monday with first degree murder and first degree conspiracy. Garrison also faces charges related to second degree weapons.

According to Shill’s office, on the morning of May 19, Atlantic City police responded to a 9-1-1 call regarding a shooting in the 300 block of North Tennessee Avenue. There, the cops found Greenidge with a gunshot wound; He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The two suspects were arrested Oct. 12 – Garrison by officers from the Newark, NJ, Police Department and Demby in Pleasantville. The two are still being held in the Atlantic County Justice Center.
